Inclusion and Adaptability
It all began with an idea. How can we help our most vulnerable student populations? What would we have wanted as students? Can we make them co-exist and make a “spark starter” curriculum?
Welcome to BandBridge
How BandBridge is Different
-
✺
The first method book to include multiple tiers of curriculum to support all students on the learning spectrum. The tiers include the traditional music notation books, color-coded traditional notation, block music notation, and the modified block notation book.
-
✺
Each book includes an opportunity for teachers to guide students along a path of self discovery through SEL activities, reflections, and specific goal setting and tracking from day 1.
-
✺
Covers beginning instrumental skill instruction, ensemble warmups, and is designed with literacy supports to reach grade 1+ music by the end of the book.
-
✺
Supports a sound-before-sight approach at the start of the year while also providing the needed supports to transition students to reading standard music notation.
-
✺
Modified instructional materials allow for you to cherry pick what you’d like to teach. Clear reading in a condensed score and helpful steps are included in each teacher’s edition book.
-
✺
Use inspiring music to teach each song at every level. We’ve optimized the listening experience for students and streamlined your workflow for ease of use in the classroom.
-
✺
11 step-by-step music composition lessons to help students deepen their learning of concepts and explore what it is like to write and perform their own music.
-
✺
Redesigned and reimagined fingering charts that help make sense of the instrument. Helpful cues and highlighting allow easy instruction and self-guided learning.
-
✺
Includes two full band compositions that include multi-tiered inclusion parts.
Our Most Powerful Adaptations
Thoughtful Color Coding & Block Notation
Centered in Concert Bb for wind band instruction. A new notation system that limits the literacy notation for accessibility with students who have difficulty reading. These adaptations will be expandable to all instruments in the series in Winter/Spring 2026 .
Rhythm Modification & Routine Building
Build self-efficacy in students who need more supports. UDL (Universal Design Learning) helps learners of all kinds and gives accessible information to para-educators who are unfamiliar to music notation.
Teacher’s Edition in Condensed Score
Truly created with the ease of reading and access to all student parts in mind. We thought about what we’d love to see and we KNOW you’ll LOVE this! Helpful tips, easy visibility to all modified parts…this score will give you confidence to help all of your students in any setting you teach.
