Beginning Skill Instruction
Many beginning band books leave out instruction for how to start the instrument. Ensemble Rhythm Exercises
Daily rhythm exercises are essential and included in each level. Designed to teach new rhythmic concepts for the next level, they teach and prepare musicians for rhythm before they are incorporated in the 5-line staff. All rhythm exercises can be taught or combined with the “Tasty” rhythms (found in the block notation book) to help all students better understand rhythms in a fun and kid friendly way.

Beginner Fingering Charts Reimagined
Beginner appropriate fingering charts on the last page & clear new note descriptions throughout the book provide students with clear information for how to play new notes! At the end of their BandBridge journey, the built-in reflections, self-assessments, compositions, challenges, and personal notes create a unique portfolio displaying student growth and learning. Elf provides a challenge for strong beginning ensembles looking for more demand for a winter concert.
Heroes is a great addition to an end-of-year concert. With an optional audio play-along for the concert, it is a great closer that leaves the performers and audience feeling great!

Nearly identical copies of the “mainstream” or traditional music notation books… except all of the notes are color-coded to help support students who are having trouble reading traditional music notation. Keep a few of the color-coded books of each instrument in your office to give to students if you notice they are needing a bit more support!

This book is designed to be compatible with any instrument with Boomwhacker color system or with color-coded stickers. The book uses a notation system that uses shapes and colors to reduce visual strain while still allowing students to play the same exact songs with the group.

Using the same color-coding system as the Boomwhacker color system, any instrument can join the band. This book is designed for students with more exceptional needs. These books are designed to be used as a literacy intervention tool when teachers notice a student needing extra reading support. All songs have the added color to help students process and recognize notes.

BandBridge is designed to get all students the amazing start they deserve! By the end of the book students are ready for Grade 1+ music literature and any book 2 method or warmups/routines of your choice!
