Ok, Composer! It’s time to figure out how to write music!

It’s not difficult to create your own music, but practice really helps! So the first question is: Where do we start?

Let’s go chapter by chapter. If you look at Composer’s Corner in Chapter 1, the instructions are here:

Trace everything here except measure 3. Remember, in measure 3, use at least 2 of our five notes. For example, you could write two half notes here, your 3rd note and then your 5th note. Try a couple of note combinations and play the piece to check to see how it sounds - if you need to revise, go ahead! If you like it, we’ll see you in the next chapter!

Get to know us
